The Mysticism of The Moody Blues’ Lyrics

I saw my first Moody Blues concert in the early 1970s. What really impressed me was that they sounded like their own record. A lot of bands build their songs well in concert, but the Moody Blues, my pick for the godfathers of Progressive Rock, had a well-arranged sound. What I didn’t know as a teenager was that there was a keyboard instrument called the Mellotron. The aptly named Mellotron looked like a small organ, but was actually a large recorder. Each keystroke initiated an eight-second tape recording of fast-rewind. These tapes can be almost anything, from the flute intro to the Beatles’ Strawberry Fields Forever to a symphony orchestra. The tapes allowed the violinist to bend the strings end to end, allowing for “attack” and accurate reproduction. The Union of Musicians in Great Britain banned them for fear of putting musicians out of business, but in part they probably did.

Besides frustrating local session players, there were a few serious drawbacks to using the Mellotron; They were prone to damage. Audio tapes tend to stretch, which is not as noticeable on regular tapes because the whole band is smoothed out or at least slowed down, but if the tape represents a single instrument playing with a live band, it’s better left alone. . in tune and rhythm. Tapes tend to break, and knobs, triggers, and electronic mechanisms don’t move very well, which is a real drag for the touring musician. It also had a limit of eight seconds, and the delay needed to cycle through the next note. It wasn’t recommended for playing fast lines, but it was great for arranging smooth pads and slow counter-melodies. With the Mellotron, bands like the Moody Blues sounded like they had been recorded in a concert hall with a full orchestra, and it was amazing.

Many bands, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, used the Mellotron on their classic hit “Free Bird” and lacked the ethereal feel of Moody’s, so what made them “spacey” veteran rockers? With their first hit, Go Now, they began to imitate American rhythm and blues, but they sang with a British accent and were definitely English people. After replacing vocalist Denny Lane with “The Cosmic Child” Justin Hayward, instead of recording a rock ‘n’ roll version of the classic, the record label thought it would be hip to record the symphonic concept album “Days of Future Past” (Switched On Bach by Walter Carlos respectable and profitable (because classical music has no royalties), they turn to their future past.

Hayward’s romantic voice and accompanying image added to their otherworldly quality, but the message of the songs gave the Moody Blues their spirituality. Are You Sitting Comfortably imagines the ghost of the wizard Merlin as they enter the psychedelic age, while Legend of the Soul uses Timothy Leary’s character as a symbol of inner space travel.

Of all the members of the Moody Blues, the group’s flutist Ray Thomas may have captured the imagination of the band’s fans the best. He’s a veteran Cosmic Rocker who immediately embraces the band’s image, and songs like My Little Lovely, with its references to “fairy dust and pixie glue,” help cement the fairy-tale persona. John Lodge wrote a song called “I’m Just a Rock’n’Roll Singer”, criticizing them as dissidents mockingly searching for the “truth” to their followers who expected some esoteric knowledge, but Ray accepted. a no-nonsense concept, but fun all the same.

Finally, there’s a great sense of irony in 1999’s Nothing Changes From the Strange Times CD, possibly the last entry in the Moody Blues discography to feature Ray. It is a litany of dates and events predicted throughout literature; 1984 (George Orwell), 1986 (Halley’s Comet Passage), 2001 (Space Odyssey or M2K, End-of-Millennial Fear) and through them all; nothing will change. Ironically, after September 11, 2001, everything changed. There’s a lot that the Moody Blues know that we don’t.

Piano Music Lesson – The Advantages of Learning to Play the Piano Online

Are you considering learning piano music? Did you know that you can get it online and not necessarily in the traditional way?

There are many benefits to learning to play this tool online. What are these?

• Learning this way is cheaper. Compared to traditional methods where you spend thousands of dollars, online learning costs only a few dollars to a hundred dollars, depending on the level of the lesson. Also, with online learning, you can easily quit without spending a fortune if you find that playing the piano is not for you. This you can not do with the kind of traditional learning.

• Online learning is flexible. You can learn to play when your schedule is right and you do not have to worry about rescheduling or notifying your teacher if you can not do it to your class.

• Lessons offered online also appeal to children more than traditional methods. The traditional way of learning to play music using this tool is often dull, making it difficult to access, while online programs also offer fun games that integrate with the teaching process.

Choosing for online music lessons also saves time as you do not have to spend a lot of personal time looking for a competent teacher. Also, you do not have to travel to your class.

• One of the best things an online piano music lesson can offer is that the student gets another lesson that he or she does not really understand as something that cannot be asked by a real teacher.

Music Therapy For Depression It Seems To Work But How The Cure For Mental Illness – Part 1

The Cure For Mental Illness – Part 1

I can walk or ride by the original St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, which is still in operation and see a shadow of my former self staring forlornly out the 8th floor window of the psychiatric ward. My vision, which makes me shudder is back in time, real time to when I was a patient there in February 1989. The hospital is a good one, my situation was bad. Real bad.

I had flown to New York City from Los Angeles where I lived in West Hollywood, looking for a job as a news reporter again. The entire story is involved and I will tell it in more detail later. The low point was weeping, feeling so alone and so cursed, and gazing out the window and longing to be in the mainstream of New York City, or anywhere than inside a mental ward, while I languished in that hospital for more than a month.

One of the high points if you can call it that, was that after about ten days there, they brought/dragged in two more inmates and I had “company”. Day after day I sat in the day room with two “colleagues” and “peers” who had cracked up too. Eric, who was still on staff as a reporter for The New York Times, who had unravelled enough “on the job”, to be admitted, but whose brilliance was evident through bouts of madness. And Ira, the stockbroker, who looked like he would have jumped out the windows if they hadn’t been gated and barred, who seemed to get more therapy from our camaraderie than from the medical staff.

And then there was me, a woman with a history of manic depression/bi-polar illness, who had worked as a news reporter in radio and television. Eric, Ira and I had wonderful conversations planning for our escape and/or discharge and resuming our lives. Sometimes they were like any professionals talking, at other times our conversations sounded like everyone there across the socio/economic strata who suffered from “grave mental illnesses”. Our conversations were wonderfully disjointed, deep, brilliant and maddening.

Over the years I was hospitalized a total of 22 times. That’s not a misprint, though I wish it were, I lost so much of my life, but an average of two times a year for a concentrated period of 12 years, I tried to work while bouncing in or being hauled into and bolting out of mental hospitals.

I have been free from mental illness since February 25, 1998, when Christ delivered me after prayer from a telephone prayer partner, and 3 days of prayer and fasting unto God to break the chains on my brain, body, spirit and soul and free this captive. Prior to that, while still living my old sin-filled lifestyle, I was attending a Bible-based non-denominational Christian church, and learned how important prayer and scripture memory is deliverance. Since I had not surrendered my life to Christ until that day in 1998, I don’t believe I was truly saved until then either.

Deliverance from mental illness is a rarity today, but knowing what I know now, I don’t believe it should be. I do however believe, that you should be saved or seeking salvation and have or be seeking a real relationship of love and trust with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You need to be covered by the blood of Jesus, because trust me it’s a bloody battle. The devil does not give up captives willingly, they have to be wrenched from his reptilian hands. That’s why you need the Warrior-King Jesus to fight this supernatural battle. You in the natural can’t see half the things that are happening. He can.

I believe there are those who are suffering from mental illness who can be saved even in their mental illnesses without deliverance. But why not get the whole “Freedom Package” for which Christ died and rose again?

Sometimes when I’m not listening to Christian radio and if the topic interests me, I’ll listen to alternative radio. I was listening to the Coast to Coast radio program with George Noory on March 23, 2009 when they announced that the guest would be a journalist, who would be speaking about his experience covering a priest who went to Rome, Italy, and was learning how to do exorcisms. Naturally I was intrigued, since they were talking about what I feel happened to me. I call it deliverance instead of an exorcism. The weird thing, though there are no coincidences with God, over and over after my evening prayer, I felt the Lord impressing upon me, hours before that broadcast came on:

“Tory, I delivered you. I want you to write about the cure for mental illness which is through Me (Jesus Christ).”

I know I was delivered from demons that made me mentally ill. I also believe that something like 90% of the people who suffer from mental illnesses are demon-infested.

This is not a medical opinion, but most doctors and psychiatrists have not suffered from severe mental illnesses themselves. The journalist and the priest who went to Rome to report and study exorcisms both believe that you have to make a distinction between demonic possession and mental illness. But again they didn’t indicate they had ever suffered from either themselves. I have been trained as a journalist and as an evangelist, and I have also suffered from demonic possession / mental illness. I do not believe there is much if any distinction. How do I know? Walk a mile in the green foam smiley-face slippers of a mental patient in a mental ward (which I unwillingly did) and then tell me what you think.

Jesus is the Great Physician. He is a healer and deliverer. 2000 years ago when He healed the mentally ill or demon-possessed or lunatics and previously devil-possessed / mentally ill people like Mary Magdalene–He cast demons out of them. Jesus is still in the deliverance business today.

I believe that the information I am giving you is not just for antiquity, it is not outmoded, nor is it outdated. People are still getting emotionally and mentally ill in record numbers, many visibly so. Drugging the demons within has been the solution especially since the 1950’s. Beats being chained up in an insane asylum for a lifetime, devastating lobotomies and frightening electro-shock therapy which convulses you and can fry your brain beyond anyone recognizing you, or you ever recognizing you again.

But I personally didn’t want to be on drugs for the rest of my life. So with the covering of prayer through Christ Jesus prior to my deliverance over a year of time or more, I weaned myself from them, one by one. I was once on Haldol, Mellaril, Lithium, Thorazine and Elavil, sometimes all at once.

Another thing that intrigued me about the Coast to Coast radio program is that the Vatican seems to be preparing for a renewed interest in exorcisms. Italy has 350-400 church-appointed exorcists and some 500,000 people who seek out exorcisms in that country. 500,000 people flocking to Rome alone folks, seeking for relief from emotional and mental torment! People are hurting all over the world and that’s just one example of the huge numbers of tortured people who have sought help and healing

everywhere else and are now in desperation, banging on the doors of exorcists.

The reporter who wrote a book about the phenomenon said he took a course at a brand new university in Rome built just for that purpose. He said he was struck by the pristine campus, bustling with activity and new classes that were organized for just such a time as this. He also walked away as a believer in the demonic and angelic realm having seen things that defied scientific explanation. Even TIME magazine wrote a recent article about it saying that the paranormal cannot be explained, but it manifests nonetheless.

So Rome has 350-400 exorcists trained by the Catholic church and a mile-long waiting list while they train more. The United States has about 14 -15 official exorcists and less than a handful of those are in New York City a place where hundreds of thousands of people suffer from mental illness. What are you supposed to do in the interim. How long are people supposed to suffer?

What if you can’t or don’t want to go to Rome? What if you don’t want an exorcism by the Catholic church, but you do want relief, deliverance and a cure? Why are millions of people still getting and staying mentally ill? Are we in the last days? Well the devil sure acted out when Christ came on the scene, in the flesh, in ancient days and devils were being exposed in huge numbers. It’s happening again, today.

Here’s another clue to how bad it’s gotten and will get. When the Vatican does something, I pay attention and they are not teaching many more priests how to do exorcisms for drama or entertainment. ( I pay attention because the Vatican has vast political and religious power, not because I am Catholic.)

Let me emphasize, I am not Catholic, nor do I believe that is requirement for deliverance. I do believe you need to want to know, or get to know the Lord Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible.

So without further introduction, let me get right to this. The Cure for Mental Illness is the title of another book I am working on, as I mentioned, I’m a published freelance reporter and author. But God has impressed me to get this word out now.

Just to sum up my life story, I was delivered from drugs, alcohol and manic depression through the amazing power of Christ. I’ve taken no psychotropic drugs for 11 years now and I rest on the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray for His Holy Spirit to come upon me now.

The Cure for Mental Illness is not one specific cure, but having suffered greatly in the past and now tasting freedom, I know there is a cure. It’s not a formula, but it is using the biblical tools God leads you to use. It’s a combination of things converging for YOUR freedom (or the release of a loved one or friend.) It’s a prescription from the Great Physician, Dr. Jesus Christ.

Each person is different and caution must be taken not to throw medication in the wind. Begin to seek God through Christ and His in-filling in your spirit will most likely cause the need for medication to be less and less, until you may not need it at all.

1) Have a Heart for God – One of the most important things is to have a heart for God, to really want a relationship with Him. To pray for your soul, your salvation and the healing of your mind. A relationship with Christ can’t be faked. You either love Him or you don’t. Get to know Him and you will.

2) The Power of Prayer and Fasting in Overcoming Mental Illness – The most powerful biblical tools I have ever witnessed and used for myself and others. In praying and fasting, do it in Jesus’ name. Have a heart for God. Don’t pray and fast without the covering of Jesus Christ. You will be opening yourself up to the supernatural realm and you don’t want to pick up anymore unsavory entities.

You want Jesus to be there to guide you through your deliverance. If you can’t fast for 3 days, or even a day, just fast a meal. In time you will be able to fast more as the Holy Spirit leads you. Don’t try to take on an epic 40 days and 40 nights fast, it could be too much too soon. Go slowly. But as you deny the flesh, God will do a work in your mind, body, spirit and soul. Deliverance is a deep work done on all of those levels.

I will detail much more on fasting (with prayer) later, but a great place to start is with the wonderful book, a time-tested classic by Arthur Wallis called, “God’s Chosen Fast.” Of course have your Holy Bible nearby. I prefer the King James Version, because it spells out the need for prayer and fasting, without “modern” editing! A New International Version (NIV) or American Standard can help you understand difficult to understand passages.

3) Scripture Meditation and Memory – This is powerful. And if you hear accusing or demonic voices in your head, counter them with powerful scripture. One that a Christian friend and his wife gave me, got me through many spiritual warfare battles:

2 Corinthians 10:3-5:

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

– I learned this by heart and even made a little song of it, so I could remember it.

4) Fellowship with a Body of Believers – Ask God to send you to a beautifully powerful, Bible-based church that believes in the concept of deliverance. Ask those you trust to pray for you.

5) Praise Music – Worship and Praise music is very healing. It builds up your faith and pleases God. Sing it or have it playing at night and during the day as often as you can. satan hates praise music to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This is a good sign!

I have a song that the Lord gave me, called “This is the Day of Deliverance.” I won’t write all the lyrics here, but just concentrate on those words, that this is the day of YOUR deliverance.

Christ is a Healer, a Deliverer, Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He can do anything.

How To Listen To Music In Car Without Killing Battery Interview With Kay Williams and Eileen Wyman, authors of "Butcher of Dreams"

You are searching about How To Listen To Music In Car Without Killing Battery, today we will share with you article about How To Listen To Music In Car Without Killing Battery was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic How To Listen To Music In Car Without Killing Battery is useful to you.

Interview With Kay Williams and Eileen Wyman, authors of "Butcher of Dreams"

Kay Williams is a professional actress who has played leading roles at regional theaters around the U.S., including the San Francisco Actors Workshop and the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Among her many credits are the title role in “Miss Jairus,” Cybel in “Great God Brown,” and Georgette in “The Balcony,” all plays that are part of the repertory of the 42nd Street Theater in “Butcher of Dreams.” She has also performed in many, many new plays off-Broadway in Manhattan and knows how difficult it is for talented new playwrights to get produced and talented new actors to get noticed. She has acted in radio, television, and films. For several years, she worked behind-the-scenes as assistant producer with an award-winning independent filmmaker in New York. Kay is a co-author of “One Last Dance: It’s Never Too Late to Fall in Love,” a novel started by her father, Mardo Williams, and finished by her and her sister Jerri Lawrence. The book won a Best Regional Fiction Award from the Independent Publishers Association and was a Finalist in a National Readers’ Choice Award, sponsored by the Romance Writers of America.

Eileen Wyman is a writer of short fiction and has edited many books and film scripts. She has had a career in radio/television and is a gifted comedy writer, crafting jokes for speech writers and comedians, humorous fillers for various magazines, and captions for cartoonists. She has written additional dialogue for films. During her long career, Eileen has held a variety of odd jobs to make ends meet-teacher, social worker, office temp. When she grows up, she wants to be either a wizard or a world class tennis player.

Tyler: Thank you, Kay and Eileen, for joining me today. It’s always a treat to have two authors to talk to. Let’s begin by having one of you just tell us basically what “Butcher of Dreams” is about?

Eileen: “Butcher of Dreams” is a suspense thriller set in the 1980’s Hell’s Kitchen when porno shops, girlie shows, prostitution and crime ran rampant. With this seedy and ominous Off-Broadway theater district as the backdrop, sensitive, talented actress Lee Fairchild is attempting to start a repertory theater in an abandoned burlesque house.

Grieving for her husband, who recently died of a heart attack (and missing her daughter who’s away at college), Lee is vulnerable and, against her better judgment, falls into a passionate affair with a younger man. After a ritual Aztec mask is stolen from her home during a cast party, bizarre, seemingly unrelated events plague the theater. A homeless person is found dead on the third floor, his ring finger missing; an actress is poisoned; an actor stabbed. Strange marking are found painted on a set in construction. Is the stolen Aztec mask with its ancient curse somehow connected?

Who is the madman behind the destruction that is threatening the future of the theater (Lee’s dream-come-true)? Lee’s mercurial cast and crew become suspects as events escalate to ritual murder, and Lee herself becomes a target.

Tyler: Wow, that sounds like quite a plot. Will you tell me a little bit more about the Aztec mask and the curse associated with it? Is the ritual murder related to the Aztec culture?

Kay: The mask has two grotesque half faces, three bright blue fiercely staring eyes, a long black tongue hanging out of its mouth. (The long black tongue signifies thirst, a thirst for blood perhaps.) When Lee and her family visited Mexico, an Indian reluctantly sold the mask to her husband Richard, saying it would bring bad luck to anyone who owned it. Supposedly, it had been stolen from the Tomb at Monte Alban, the City of the Dead, and had been used in Aztec sacrifices. Six months later Richard was dead of a heart attack. Maybe the Indian was right, Lee thinks. Richard was too young, too healthy to have had a fatal heart attack.

At the cast party later, the actors, intrigued by the mask, take it down from the wall, and as a lark, several try it on. Alan confesses, “The mask took me over.” His friend Walter asks to borrow it for a talk he’s doing on Indian rites and occult practices for the Society of Medical Anthropology. At the end of the party, Lee discovers the mask is missing. And that’s when the havoc begins. Detective Green thinks someone may be trying to scare them out of the theater which, with the gentrification of Hell’s Kitchen, may soon become a desirable property. Green also postulates that a cult is involved.

Aztec/Mexican symbols, rites and rituals, including the Cult of the Animal Protector, are intrinsic to the plot right up through the chilling climax.

Tyler: Eileen and Kay, I’m always curious about writer collaborations? What brought the two of you together and how did the two of you work together to write “Butcher of Dreams”?

Kay: We’ve known each other for a long time. We were having dinner at a Greek restaurant in our neighborhood, drinking wine. Acting roles for me seemed to be drying up. I’d just taken a permanent job that wouldn’t allow me to do auditions during the day. Eileen came up with the idea. “We should write a novel.” It sounded to me like it was worth a try. The beauty of it was that we could work on it before and after work and on the weekends.

We have different strengths and we felt we could collaborate very well, complementing each other. For instance, Eileen is great at writing humor, especially satirical and black humor; she excels at short pithy character descriptions and terse, meaty descriptions of places, and her ability to come up with off-the cuff quips and funny one-liners for characters is uncanny. Over 25 years as an actress made me strong at character development and narrative line. As we brainstormed, we knew it would have to be a story about the theater. And about New York-in fact, about our fascinating, seamy, grimy, scary neighborhood-where a number of small off-Broadway theaters eked out an existence. You’re supposed to write about what you know, right? We also knew we wanted to try suspense.

Together, we drafted a plot-that mutated as we went along. But we did know exactly how we wanted the story to start and how we wanted it to end. We decided to tell the story through the eyes of an actress. She had to be very emotionally vulnerable. So we came up with a back story for her. The antagonist had to be sneaky and scary, a world class liar, slippery as a bar of soap. We wanted the reader to wonder whom to believe among this band of actors-all first class dissemblers. We knew we didn’t want the story to revolve around actors working on Broadway, actors who’d made it. We wanted to show the reader what a struggle it is to make a name in the theater (or in any other artistic endeavor, for that matter).

We also wanted to include Aztec/Mexican rites and rituals. And for that, we did research at the library.

I usually did a first pass at a draft. Eileen would make changes. We’d get together and argue and discuss. Through Mystery Writers of America, we found a writers group. So we’d read 10 pages at a time to the group, get feedback and make changes based on their suggestions.

Tyler: Tell me a little bit about the main character, Lee Fairchild, and why you think she is an attractive character to the reader?

Eileen: Lee is smart, tough, talented, able to manage and act successfully in her own off-Broadway theater. She’s independent, but vulnerable. She’s caring and imaginative. She’s lonely. We thought of her as a combination of Holly Hunter and Emma Thompson. She has the intuition of an artist, seeing everyone’s side. Lee is so empathetic her husband once told her, “You could identify with a mailbox.” That is her strength and her weakness.

Tyler: Does Lee get herself into any dangerous situations, and if so, will you give us a little hint of one?

Eileen: One night Lee works late at the theater. When she leaves, she discovers the battery from her car has been stolen so she has no choice but to stay overnight. (She’d converted a small room on the theater’s second floor into a bedroom but hadn’t used it after the body of the derelict was found.) In the middle of the night, she hears sounds coming from the third floor construction area. She goes upstairs to investigate. Lighted candles are everywhere. A giant figure draped in a long white robe (an actor’s costume, from “The Balcony”), complete with cothurni (high, thick-soled laced boots, also part of the costume), is wearing the hideous Mexican mask that was stolen from Lee’s home. The figure stands before a mirror, a bird, painted blue-green, in his hand. He performs a ceremony with the live bird, cutting its wing, crooning to it softly. He discovers Lee hiding behind a shelf of paint cans. As they struggle, Lee tries to lift off the mask to see the face behind it. The last thing she feels are hands around her neck. She survives, suffering only a small cut between her thumb and forefinger. Her next encounter is not so benign.

Tyler: The subtitle is “A Suspense Novel about the Theater.” What about the theater appeals to you, especially as a subject for a mystery?

Kay: In the theater, film and TV, where we’d each had years of experience, we’d met many temperamental actors with overblown egos, actors with a heart of gold, actors living alternate lifestyles, brilliant but erratic directors and playwrights. We knew they would make unforgettable characters, characters easy to be suspicious of. In “Butcher of Dreams,” we have Alan Dunbar, Lee’s Artistic Director, who has troubling gaps in his resume; Ernst Kromer, her other director, who is a tyrant, rigid and uncooperative. In the acting company, we have wraithlike Fleur Mahoney, whose first role is a dead girl-and she almost is; Barry Blackwell, talented actor, compulsive practical joker; Harry O’Brien, company stage manager, who’d kill for a role; beautiful Samantha Read, Barry’s live-in lover. Other major characters from the “real” world are just as quirky: Michael Day, Lee’s sexy and mysterious assistant; Alan’s lover, Walter Kaplan, eccentric psychiatrist and medical anthropologist; Heather, Lee’s 18-year-old daughter, who has a surprising secret life; pock-marked, cynical NYPD Detective Mordecai Green, who moonlights as an actor.

Tyler: What specifically about the 42nd Street Repertory Theater, the setting for the book, makes it a great setting for a mystery?

Eileen: The fact that it’s an off-Broadway repertory theater-almost an anomaly in New York City; that it’s under-budgeted and under-staffed leaves room for plenty of mistakes and mishaps. The time is the mid-eighties. Small, struggling off-Broadway theaters lined 42nd Street. The theater was just three blocks from the Hudson River where an enclave of the homeless lived in cardboard boxes. At that time, the neighborhood was crime-ridden. Live nude shows, erotic bookstores, x-rated movies were just a block away from our apartment complex (we live in Manhattan Plaza, housing for performing artists). Crack cocaine was sold by dealers in the streets. Prostitutes blatantly solicited.

(By the time we finished the book, the Disney Corporation had renovated the Amsterdam Theater, moved in “The Lion King” and Hell’s Kitchen was well on its way to being gentrified. Now our area is one of the safest, cleanest neighborhoods in New York City.)

Tyler: What would you say were your biggest influences in writing mysteries?

Kay: We love stories with an odd twist; characters who are slightly askew. These authors are among our favorites: Ruth Rendell, writing as Barbara Vine, P.D. James, Elizabeth George, Dorothy Sayers, Patricia Highsmith.

Tyler: What do you think sets “Butcher of Dreams” apart from the many other mystery novels out there?

Eileen: The book’s mixture of temperamental actors, undercurrents of the supernatural, and a madman on the prowl set it apart from the many cozies, police procedurals, legal mysteries, high tech thrillers that dominate today’s mystery world. This one is about people whom you like and learn to dislike, dislike and learn to like, real people in believable-if slightly bizarre situations. After all, it is the theater so that added theatrical flair is a must.

Tyler: What do you find most difficult about writing a mystery?

Kay: To give enough clues but not too many so that the reader will guess the culprit right off the bat. It’s great to have a writers group as your first audience because if they say, “I suspect so-and-so,” you know you have to be a little more subtle and pull back on information you’re giving the reader. Also it’s difficult knowing what to reveal when. Again, it’s a great help having a writers group to bounce first drafts off.

Tyler: What did you most enjoy about writing and collaborating on “Butcher of Dreams”?

Eileen: Collaboration gave us more than one voice.

Also, Kay tended to overlook the flaws in the performers because she identified with them so strongly. I, as a theater-goer and lover of theater, wanted them to behave better. We feel we reached a happy medium.

Tyler: What will your next writing projects be? Do you plan to collaborate on writing more books?

Eileen: We’ve started a sequel to “Butcher.” It opens in Leningrad in 1991-filmmakers competing at the Leningrad International Film Festival, against the chaotic backdrop of a disintegrating Russia. Then the action moves to New York and deals with the Russian Mafia in Brighton Beach and the 42nd Street Rep as it’s evolved in the past five years. Also the reader will get a glimpse into the world of making independent films.

Tyler: Do you both plan to stick to writing novels now, or will you return to the theatre-maybe even turn one of your novels into a play?

Kay: We may attempt a screenplay of “Butcher of Dreams.” But first we have to get further into our Russian book.

Tyler: Thank you, Kay and Eileen, for joining me today. Before you go, will you tell our readers about your website and what additional information can be found there about “Butcher of Dreams”?

Eileen: Our website is: http://www.calliopepress.com/butcherOfDreams/index.shtml

Additional information on the website includes: suggested book discussion questions, comments about the book from reviewers and readers; authors’ pictures and bios; excerpt; ordering information.

Tyler: Thank you, Kay and Eileen. I hope you have many more successful collaborations together.

Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 3 Seconds Powerful and Proven Meditations For Enlightened Living Full of Love, Health, Bliss, and Success

You are searching about Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 3 Seconds, today we will share with you article about Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 3 Seconds was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 3 Seconds is useful to you.

Powerful and Proven Meditations For Enlightened Living Full of Love, Health, Bliss, and Success

“Meditation is the art of focusing your attention so completely on one thing that you lose consciousness of everything else around you. Although meditation often is associated with religious disciplines, modern researchers have found that it can be used apart from any religious or philosophical orientation to promote deep relaxation and mental stillness.

What happens during meditation? University studies have shown that, among other things, heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure drop. Alpha brain waves-the brain waves associated with deep relaxation-increase in intensity and frequency. Blood lactate, a chemical associated with anxiety, has been found to fall rapidly within the first ten minutes of meditation.” The Hope Heart Institute in Seattle Washington.

That has been my experience too along with the incredible, ongoing experience that meditation practices reconnect us with our Source. It doesn’t matter what one calls that Source. Labels are nothing more than labels. Our Source is beyond labels, beyond concepts, beyond definitions, beyond philosophies, and everything else you can think of.

Our Source is a divine experience of bliss and love that we can revel in 24 hours a day. 24 hours a day-while we are playing, working, eating, loving, sleeping, or talking! Meditation removes everything that prevents us from experiencing this bliss and love that we truly are at all times. Meditation melts away fear, impatience, greed, anger, lust, poverty-all limitations.

Meditation is unique for every person. While there are some classic experiences that can be common to many, meditation brings you the experiences you need to return to Source. There is no fast path. As stated below, meditation requires commitment. Without commitment there is no progress.

Along with commitment, discrimination is very important. This is where decisions to continue or abort a chosen path must be based on research and knowledge, coupled with your own experience. It is sometimes very easy to run away from something new (like meditation, sungazing, yoga, t’ai chi, new food programs, etc.) because things are uncomfortable in the short term, thereby denying ourselves of the ultimate long term benefits. Then again, it’s definitely not helpful to stick with something just because we don’t want to admit to ourselves that we made a mistake in going down a particular path. There is a fine line to walk and we must constantly choose and reevaluate our choices in light of our knowledge and experience.

How many of us are doing things today that we did as children either because we had no choice or the intelligence to make healthy choices? How much of our lives is really ours versus us playing out a scenario that started long ago, before we even knew what we were doing? How many of us were lucky enough to have parents who knew what they were doing? How many of us are willing to abandon our “habitual daily routines” for a life of freedom and adventure, constantly connected with Source.

Without commitment and discrimination you will stay stuck in a rut you think is normal daily living.

Hint: normal daily living is feeling every cell of your body vibrating with the energy of a thousand suns whenever you want.

Normal daily living is having a quiet, focused mind.

Normal daily living is seeing the life Source pulsating in everything your eyes behold.

Normal daily living is hearing inner music more divine than anything we have created with instruments.

Normal daily living is having loving relationships.

Normal daily is having everything you need and doing that, including work, which makes your heart sing.

Normal daily living in this way is only achieved through meditation.

Meditation is an adventurous voyage into your own sacred heart.

Meditation is a simple, yet profound, way of reclaiming you-mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

The only purpose of life is to reclaim our Divinty. Everything else is a “background activity”. Everything else! Without meditation, you are not living a true life. You are not attaining your full potential no matter how healthy and successful you may seem to be.

Some classic texts on meditation include Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda, Play of Consciousness by Swami Muktananda, Living with the Himalayan Masters by Swami Rama, and Miracle of Love-Stories about Neem Karoli Baba by Ram Dass. A more recent book that could be titled Everything One Needs to Know about Meditation and Then Some is The Heart of Meditation-pathways to a deeper experience by Swami Durgananda.

The following meditations are ones I have used on a regular basis and can attest to their power used individually, together, or in conjunction with any particular meditation practice you may currently enjoy. Dive in! Discover the wonders of your physical body, the intricacies of your invisible mind, the grandeur of your loving heart, the sacredness of your soul, and the bliss of your being.

Sitting Meditation

Choose a clean, quiet place. If in your home, make it somewhere you can sit everyday. The energy of meditation will build in that spot and facilitate your practice each and every day thereafter. If needed to block disturbing noises, use some peaceful music conducive to deep relaxation. Otherwise, sit in silence.

Sit in a chair, preferably with arms for longer periods of meditation, or on the floor in a comfortable, cross legged position. If you need to, put pillows under your knees for support. You can also sit up against a wall for back support. Sit on a pillow(s) that keeps your hips higher than your knees and supports your back. A Zafou is perfect for this and can be found on many internet sights. A silk or wool blanket or mat on top of the pillow will help keep the energy of meditation circulating in your body. You can also lie down if you won’t fall asleep. Meditation is not about losing consciousness. It’s about becoming conscious. If you do fall asleep at first, it’s OK. It will be a different sleep.

Sit up straight but not rigid. The energy of mediation follows the spine, from the base upwards to the crown. Join your thumbs and index fingers together in chin mudra. This too keeps the energy of meditation circulating in your body. Rest your palms downward on your legs. You can also simply rest one palm on top of the other, face up in your lap. Drop your chin a little and relax the back of your neck. Let your lips part ever so slightly, relaxing your tongue and jaw. Mentally scan your body from head to toe and let go of any tension. Just breathe into it.

Imagine the in breath is going into those places that are tight and tense and opening them up and then, the tightness and tension or pain leave on the out breath. You can also imagine that your entire body is hollow. You are simply breathing air into air. There is nothing inside you to be tight or tense.

Then, without controlling your breath, simply observe it. Let it flow in and out at whatever rate is natural. But watch it. Follow it all the way in to that space where it stops for a moment before it flows out and then follow it all the way out to that space where it stops for a moment before it flows back in. Become very aware of the breath and the spaces between the breaths. Relax deeper and deeper with each breath.

Sometimes it helps to relax and focus the mind by giving it a word or phrase to repeat. Anything of a very high vibration consistent with your beliefs will do. Repeat the word(s) Ham Sa (the natural sound of the breath which means I am That-Ham as you breathe in and Sa as you breathe out), love, Christ, Jesus, Allah, Om, I Am, Om Namah Shivaya (I honor the God within me), Peace, or whatever is comfortable and meaningful for you. Repeat it as you breathe in and as you breathe out. Eventually the words will fall away. They are just a tool to relax your mind. When your mind becomes restless again, start repeating the word or phrase you have chosen and let it help still your mind.

Do not give up. Your mind will not become quiet immediately. This is a lifelong practice that is absolutely necessary to a fully functional and blissful life that is not dependent on anything outside yourself to create health, wealth, bliss, and fulfilling your service on earth. Start with just 5 minutes a day. Add a minute a day until you reach 30 minutes. Then sit for 30 minutes twice a day-once upon arising and once before retiring. You can even practice whenever you get 5 minutes or so. For instance, meditate when you get somewhere early for an appointment, after meals, or waiting for someone who is late (instead of getting upset). Be creative. While 5 minutes may seem like 5 hours when you are beginning, 1 or even 2 hours of meditation will eventually go by like 5 minutes and leave you feeling better than ever.

The Inner Smile Meditation

Smiling is miraculous. It takes far less effort and far less facial muscles to smile than to frown or just be without a smile. Don’t you feel your whole face light up whenever you smile?

Have you ever seen pictures or been in the presence of saints and fully realized Masters? Their smile is ever present, even when they’re not smiling. You can see they have tapped into a realm of happiness, actually a cavern of bliss, deep inside themselves that is always there.

And that inner smile is always there in you too! You just have to know how to access it.

It’s one of the great secrets of t’ai chi-focusing on the inner smile in the lower abdomen (the t’an t’ien located about 2 inches below the navel). With practice, you’ll be able to focus on this inner smile at any time and thereby instantly change how you mentally, emotionally, and physically are processing specific events in your life that may be temporarily causing you to do something other than smile.

Sit quietly. Take several deep relaxing breaths through your nose. Rub your palms together and create some warmth. Place one palm on each side of your face and start making circles outward with them, massaging your face. Then, consciously relax your forehead, eyebrows, and skin. Imagine an inner smile deep in your abdomen. Allow this smile to move up through your heart and throat into your face. Let this “happy feeling” smile into your lips, eyes, cheeks, and forehead. This smile will activate the thymus gland which in turn strengthens the immune system. Continue smiling into your body and become aware of more and more parts smiling and smiling.

Keep smiling. The physical act of smiling can reach and dissolve unwanted patterns that have frustrated other forms of therapy, if done with proper focus. And remember, anything that is keeping you from smiling is not really you. You are laughter. You are love. You are light. You are energy. It’s time you experience yourself for who you really are. It’s time to wake up and smile!

You may wish to try the Light of Smiles by Paramahansa Yogananda, an affirmation to meditate, dwell on, and practice every day!

“I will light the match of smiles. My gloom veil will disappear. I shall behold my soul in the light of my smiles, hidden behind the accumulated darkness of ages. When I find myself, I shall race through all hearts with the torch of my soul-smiles. My heart will smile first, then my eyes and my face. Every body-part will shine in the light of smiles.

I will run amid the thickets of melancholy hearts and make a bonfire of all sorrows. I am the irresistible fire of smiles. I will fan myself with the breeze of God-joy and blaze my way through the darkness of all minds. My smiles will convey His smiles and whoever meets me will catch a whiff of my divine joy. I will carry fragrant purifying torches of smiles for all hearts.”

Nei Gung Meditation

I learned this meditation from Justin Stone, one of my t’ai chi teachers. I practiced it every night before going to sleep for many months. After several rounds of repeating the phrases, I would fall asleep and sleep very peacefully. Then, one night, I decided I wasn’t going to simply fall asleep while repeating the phrases. I was going to keep repeating them over and over again, all night if necessary, until something happened-until I had an experience of something other than falling asleep.

I don’t remember how many repetitions it took (somewhere between 11 and 20) but at one point, the repetitions stopped and every cell of my body filled with this delicious, vibrating energy. I could feel this energy vibrating in every cell. It was wonderful. And my sense of hearing was heightened. I could hear sounds that were heretofore inaudible from other parts of the house and outside. I was in awe and though I tried to hold on to this incredible awareness, I drifted to sleep. And I’ve never had a problem falling asleep since. Once my head contacts the pillow and I repeat Om Namah Shivaya a few times, I’m asleep. Since this night, I’ve only used this meditation on a few occasions when I’ve really felt like something was stuck in my life.

Before going right into the meditation, here’s a brief history of its origin.

In the 1700’s, Zen Master Hakuin’s emotional and physical health had seriously deteriorated to the point where he said:

“Activity and non activity had become entirely out of harmony. My heart began to make me dizzy, my lungs became dry, both my legs felt as cold as if they were immersed in ice… My ears were filled with a ringing as of the rushing waters of a swift river in a deep canyon. My liver felt weak and, in my behavior, I experienced many fears. My spirit was distressed and weary and, whether sleeping or waking, I always became lost in wild fancies. Both armpits were perpetually bathed in sweat and my eyes were continually filled with tears.”

Having heard rumors of a wise man who possessed the secret of health and long life, Hakuin sought the assistance of the legendary sage Hakuyu. Hakuyu, seeing that not even the most famous physician would be able to cure Hakuin, gave him the secret Nei Gung meditation. Contemplate these words from Hakuin’s diary after he practiced this meditation with great diligence for three years and imagine what it may do for you.

“At first, my main object in carrying out this method was the simple one of health preservation. But… I discovered that my power of understanding was enlightened by it… The illness, which had till that time been practically incurable, now began to melt away like frost or snow in the morning sunlight. Poisonously hard problems, difficulties of faith, difficulties preventing me from penetrating through to the truth,… and difficulties which hindered the beginning periods of meditation… -all of them, without exception, were softened and alleviated together with my bodily sickness and they melted away like ice. And now, when I have passed the average length of man’s life, I have ten times as much vitality as I used to have when I was only thirty or forty years of age. Now my body and soul are both healthy and strong.”

With your legs pressed together, either lying down or sitting in a chair, mentally repeat the following affirmations, over and over, until sleep intervenes or your mind has become peaceful and your body filled with energy. Your attention should be just under your navel or at the soles of your feet. Contemplate what they mean.

1. This Energy Sea, this Tanden, from below the navel to the soles of the feet, full of my Original Face; where are the nostrils on that Face?

2. This Energy Sea, this Tanden, from below the navel to the soles of the feet, full of my True Home; what need of a message from that Home?

3. This Energy Sea, this Tanden, from below the navel to the soles of the feet, full of the Pure Land of Consciousness only; what need of outer pomp has this Pure Land?

4. This Energy Sea, this Tanden, from below the navel to the soles of the feet, full of the Amidha Buddha of heart and body; what sermon would this Amidha be preaching?

Walking Meditation

This is something you can do anytime-between rooms in your home, outside, to and from a car, walking grocery store aisles, etc. Simply keep your awareness focused on the soles of your feet. Feel each foot hit the ground. Be aware. And like before, you can always coordinate a word with the feet hitting the ground if it helps focus your mind. You’ll find when you walk this way, instead of thinking about what you just did or what you are going to do next, all your senses are heightened and you intuitively know just what to do when. Again, practice.

Standing Meditation

This meditation can be found in The Way of Energy by Master Lam Kam Chuen. This book contains detailed information on Zhan Zhuan (pronounced either Jan or Jam Jong), which means Standing Like A Tree, and some wonderful poetry on the nature of trees which can be used as contemplations while doing this incredible internal exercise. These postures can also be done simultaneously while sungazing (a very dynamic duo!).

Start by doing any combination of these poses for five minutes. I suggest doing one of each as each one has its own unique property. After three weeks, increase this to ten minutes, divided equally among the poses. Hold them for a total of 15 minutes the next three weeks, 25 minutes the following three weeks, and increase this to 25 minutes thereafter. 25 minutes is enough to refresh your entire system. At first 30 seconds may seem like lifetimes; five minutes may be torture. The boredom may drive you crazy. These reactions are simply the evidence of the constant tension in your nervous system and proof that you need this meditation/exercise! Once I attained 25 minutes, I stopped holding these postures for this length of time as an every day practice. I continue to use the postures at the end of my qigong workouts and in connection with sungazing.

With legs still shoulder width apart, toes forward, knees bent, and weight equal on both legs and equal between the balls and heels of the feet, completely relax-being careful not to extend your knees over your toes. Let your hands hang at your sides, palms toward your legs.

Imagine a string is attached to the top of your spine, in line with the tips of your ears at the top of your skull, effortlessly lifting and supporting. Let the bottom of your spine unfold downward so that neither your belly nor your bottom is sticking out. The tip of your head (above the tips of your ears), the t’an t’ien (the space about 2 inches below your navel and the power center of your body), and the mid point of your feet are in line. Your whole frame is suspended from the top of your head. You hang from it like a puppet or a garment on a coat hanger. From below your kneecaps, your roots extend downward. From your knees upward, you rise like a tree, resting calmly between the earth and the sky. Your eyes look forward and slightly downward. Drop your chin a little so that your throat is not pushed forward. Release any tension in your neck. Relax your hips and belly.

Let the breath be free to flow in and out at its own natural pace. Inhale and exhale gently through your nose only. Your mouth should be closed but not tightly shut. Don’t clamp your teeth shut. If saliva forms, swallow it. Relax even more by telling any tight spots in your body that they are relaxed (i.e., “My knees are relaxed. My shoulders are relaxed.”).

Imagine you’re sitting on a huge balloon that takes your weight behind you, like a beach ball on the sand. There are also balloons behind your knees, totally supporting you.

Hold this first position for the desired amount of time. In all the positions, stand as still and motionless as a giant tree on a totally peaceful day.

Holding The Balloon

From the above pose sink down a little more-about two inches. Raise your arms to form an open circle in front of your chest at about shoulder level. Your open palms face your chest, fingers spread. The distance between the fingertips of your hands is the equivalent of one to three fists (3 – 9 inches). The tops of your thumbs are no higher than your shoulders. Your wrists are as wide apart as your shoulders. Your elbows are slightly lower than your wrists and shoulders. The inner angle between your upper arm and forearm is slightly more than 90 degrees.

Imagine you’re holding a large inflated balloon between your hands, forearms, and chest. You are gently keeping it in place without tension. Your armpits and upper arms rest on two small balloons. Your elbows rest on two large balloons that float on the surface of a pond. The weight on your feet shifts slightly forward. Relax into it!

Holding Your Belly

You are now sinking down about 2-4 inches. Drop your arms so your forearms are in front of your abdomen, elbows flexed so arms are rounded, and thumbs about navel high, hands separated at least 6 inches and no more than body width between fingertips, with the fingers of each hand pointing toward the opposite knee. Fingers are kept separated just enough to allow little imaginary balls to rest between each of your fingers. With soft palms, imagine you are gently holding a large inflated balloon between your hands and your belly or gently supporting an enormous belly that you had developed. Imagine that a strap runs from your neck to your wrists, supporting them. You hold your belly or the balloon so gently that there is no tension in your wrists or fingers. Your palms are not turned sharply upward. They are loosely angled along the arc of the balloon or belly. The weight on your feet is equally proportioned. Relax into it!

Standing In The Stream

Sink down another 2 inches to a level of about 4-6 inches. Reach your hands out to both sides at waist height, imagining you are standing in a stream, with the current flowing toward you. Your palms and outstretched fingers rest parallel to the surface of the running stream. Imagine that you are holding two balls, keeping them steady in the flowing water. Concentrate on holding the balls steady as they try to float away with the current of the running water. Imagine all your weight is sinking down to the soles of your feet. Relax into it!

Holding The Balloon In Front Of Your Face

Raise your arms and turn your hands outward so that the backs of your hands are level with your cheeks. Allow your fingers to soften, curving gently and slightly apart. Your fingers are roughly at eye level-never higher than your head. Imagine that your wrists are supported by a strap that runs around the back of your neck. Your open hands hold an imaginary, inflated balloon in front of your face. Press gently outward on the balloon as if to push it away from you, but do not tense your muscles. Imagine you are guiding the balloon away from you. Your weight shifts back a little toward your heels. Relax into it!

Return to the beginning position with hands at the side for about 1 minute.

Moving Meditations

T’ai Chi and various Qigong practices are moving forms of meditation. They are an excellent way to still the mind while in motion; create a strong, flexible, and healthy body; open up the body’s various energy channels; and prepare the body for deeper states of sitting meditation. It is my experience that someone who practices T’ai Chi, Qigong, or Yoga in addition to their other meditation practices, will make faster progress on their path to living in their true state of love and bliss at all times than someone who just meditates. I invite you to find a class with an experienced instructor instead of trying to learn from a video/dvd. You’ll be glad you did!

Meditating on the Sun

There are several methods of sun meditation (sungazing), several chat rooms devoted to sungazing, and several websites with related information. Not all of the information is factual and it behooves anyone who decides to practice this ancient and life transforming technique to become informed by reading as much as they can and by talking with other experienced sungazers.

For an in depth discussion on Meditating on the Sun, please see my article with that title.

Proven Benefits of Meditation

People who meditate experience better health than others over a wide range of conditions.

Significantly more subjects in the relaxation group reported improved relationships, general health, and enjoyment of life.

Meditation has been shown to contribute to the development of life purpose and satisfaction which reduces depression and anxiety, the psychological end products of the stress response.

Meditation has been shown to have a positive impact on heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen consumption and metabolic activity, distribution of blood flow, muscle tension, and the alleviation of pain.

Meditation helps people observe and identify the characteristic thought patterns with which they respond to outer circumstances. Feelings from the past are often released. As these patterns are explored, people learn that it is possible to develop new ways of responding to outer circumstances.

Meditation has been shown to help reduce alcohol consumption and drug abuse.

Meditation brings about a reduction in artery wall thickening, reduced heart rate and blood pressure, decreased respiratory rate and oxygen consumption, increase regularity and amplitude of -EEG activity, reduced blood lactate level and other metabolic effects, along with the subjective experience of peace, relaxation, and contentment, and an increased responsiveness to stressful events with quicker recovery. While these effects are also characteristic of eyes-closed rest, or sleep, the majority of studies have found these effects to be greater in meditation.

Meditation modifies the depression of cellular immunity associated with stress.

Regular meditation has reduced plasma cholesterol and the number of cigarettes smoked.

Conclusion

To really supercharge your meditations and establish an instant and infinite awakening to your Divinity, I highly recommend finding a living Master who can ignite and guide your spiritual awakening to its blissful reunion with God. Use the meditation technique they gift you as your primary practice and supplement with other forms you find useful (perhaps some of the ones in this article).

May you too discover and experience what several enlightened Masters have declared: “The heart is the hub of all sacred places. Go there and roam. Meditate on your own Self. Worship your Self. Respect your Self. God dwells within you as you.”

Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 1 Minute The 3 Pillars of Success – The Next Great Advancement in Success Movement

You are searching about Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 1 Minute, today we will share with you article about Music That Will Make You Fall Asleep In 1 Minute was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. The 3 Pillars of Success – The Next Great Advancement in Success Movement

The Three Pillars is a system I have developed through years of research and practice from the teachings of Napoleon Hill’s Success Theory. Zig Zealar on his power to inspire mass groups, Silver Raven Wolfe on his teachings on mysticism and metaphysical practice. Each of their teachings is different, but all of their teachings have something in common. When I teach there, what if I analyze the teachings of all these masters and practice all three of what I call the 3 Pillars of Success? Maybe we’ll take something good and turbocharge it into something great!

I used all three of these models for myself and felt that the characters I was playing didn’t even fit me. I am getting better or more successful at what I do. I have tried many other forms of success, such as the Law of Attraction by the authors above. Yes, it helped, but it wasn’t the magic we were looking for.

What are the 3 pillars of success? Strengthens you physically and mentally and strengthens you spiritually. It is the key to success in anything you do or want to do in life. Don’t forget to follow the teachings of Napoleon Hill, one should follow one’s passion (heart) and be committed to one’s dreams. I will expand on each of these areas.

1. Physical exercise: Do physical exercise (experience) at least 3 times a week for at least 15 minutes. This is the minimum amount, the better. Try to eat healthy foods and avoid harmful foods. Make sure your body is getting the sleep it needs. Our society overemphasizes the importance of physical fitness and emphasizes mental and spiritual development in times of stress.

2. Mental/emotional state: If you can take some quiet time to visualize what you really want. Imagine that person, thing, job, career, car or whatever you really want. You can light candles, play meditation music, and burn incense. Do this for 15 minutes or more a day. Make positive affirmations like, “The universe gives me everything I need,” “I have the perfect career,” “I’m worth $100,000.00 a year.” Be creative and make your own guarantees or search the internet for other ideas.

3. Spirituality: For some people, attending regional services every week is enough. For others, they must experience a higher power and witness this God/Creator/Universe/Spirit. Not all people are destined to walk the paths of psychics, healers and mystics. For those brave enough to experience a higher power, should you do it? One begins with mediation, which is the key to opening yourself up to the universe. Why do you think so many Westerners are being driven to Eastern religions? What they do seems more mysterious, they mediate! You need to find the medicine that works for you. Don’t be afraid, if you don’t like it, try another one until you find one that works for you. One thing I have found very powerful is white light meditation. You visualize a ball of white light passing through the top chakra and continue through all 7 Charkas. You imagine golden roots coming out of your feet going into the ground and going to the center of the earth. Feel the energy from the ground moving up from the ground, moving into your body and into your heart. It appears as a white mist and turns your body into a white bubble. Turn it in either direction. Say to yourself or no load, I send self-healing energy out into the universe or earth to serve the higher or greater good. Make this ball of light spin and move faster and faster. Then it explodes and charges the energy out of your body. Please wait a few moments. Then visualize a ball of light around you (I like to change the color of the light every day: red, orange, yellow/gold, green, pink, blue, purple, white) and rotate it in different directions until it glows. 3 spheres rotate around the light in different directions. Try to do this every day. It will heal you and open the locked charkas. It will ground and protect you at the same time. You are also enhancing your karma by sending healing energy. As you begin to walk down the path of metaphysics, the Cosmic Swamp (Darkness, Evil, Devil, Demon) will not like you and will want to harm you. What if you don’t know what to take away from your life? Pray for helpers, meditate and ask your spirit guide or guardian angel for help. It will come to you. But you have to be open to symptoms. God/Creators/Universe/Spirit has a team they can send to help you, all you have to do is ask.

The Law of Attraction is a great tool for opening yourself up to the universe. The Law of Attraction, or The Secret, is about using positive thoughts and doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. Treat others with respect and dignity. Bring the energy of love, joy, gratitude, happiness, resilience, and more. Try to remove and eliminate negative thoughts like hatred, anger, jealousy, intolerance etc. Daily care and intercession. By doing all this, you will wake up from the dream we live in and begin to experience the spiritual world.

What else can you do to make the experience more powerful? As I said, the basics are already given. You can start a holy altar, have a place at home. Place symbols that make sense to you. The base color of the candle is white for God/Creators/Universe/Spirit. A yellow or gold candle will help you attract what you want. Green candle for healing and good luck. Pink is for love and relationships. Red is the color of fire and is used to see acceleration, lust and sex.

The main crystals clear quartz is for enhancing energy, so you can place it with another crystal or set of crystals to enhance energy. If you are looking for a good set to express yourself, my personal recommendations would be Aventurine, Carnelian, Yellow Citrine and Clear Quartz. If you’re looking to attract love, it suggests Moonstone, Prennite, Quantum Quattro, Yellow Citrine, and Rose Quartz. Don’t forget that you can use clear crystals to grow these crystals. Everyone has a different perspective on clearing, charging, and programming crystals. One of the easiest ways to use Selenite crystals is to cleanse and recharge them for you. What do you want programming crystals to do for you? It’s placing your thoughts on the crystal. You can talk to the crystal, you can pray to the crystal. You can visualize the idea of your third eye leaving a beam of light into the crystal. You can write whatever you want on the paper and roll the crystal on each side.

The web or your local metaphysical store has all kinds of information about candles, crystals, and incense. Remind yourself that all the work is done by you, not by crystals, candles, or incense! So, spend a lot of time or money buying that special candle, crystal or incense. Yes, they help! But the most powerful experience I’ve ever had was not using an assistive device. It’s a discipline you have to train yourself to do, and if it doesn’t work at first, try again.

Let me tell you a little more about myself. I have worked in call centers for many years and have never felt bored or burned out. For me, it’s a devil’s workshop! My solution was to find a better job outside of this call center environment. It was hard to find anything better. And when I got something better, it didn’t last and I had to go back to the call center. By the way, young people who graduated from college graduated from the top 20 universities and graduated from another institution with honors. Shouldn’t this happen to me? I have read several books by the above authors and many others to help fix the problem. Why do I always seem to be drawn to call centers? Because you must learn to be the master of this situation, not the slave. Once you learn to master it, you will move on. This is the teaching of the Law of Karma. I feel it is my purpose to teach others these pillars of success and teach others how to heal themselves from the toxic environment society has created.

Music On Hold I Want To Wait On Hold Music Fast Food Restaurants – Are They Good For Business Meetings?

You are searching about Music On Hold I Want To Wait On Hold Music, today we will share with you article about Music On Hold I Want To Wait On Hold Music was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic Music On Hold I Want To Wait On Hold Music is useful to you.

Fast Food Restaurants – Are They Good For Business Meetings?

Fast food restaurants may be great places to socialize with your colleagues, but are they good for business meetings? An informal atmosphere, casual approach, and “dining” environment may make your team feel relaxed and open to new ideas, but are they able to focus or are distractions preventing them from staying focused? Join me on a journey of extraordinary meeting ideas.

Scheduling a business meeting is generally straightforward. You have to give your gear, your agenda, and your goals when your employees are transitioning to another company, but what about the people already in the industry? Or do you want to shake up your team a little and help them think outside the box? Are fast food restaurants a good place to hold your business meeting instead of the main office?

Obviously, fast food restaurants exist for one reason: they serve fast food to satisfy hunger quickly. The food is not sophisticated and the cost is quite cheap. Table service is not always an option, and the environment reflects the universal theme of the company. The atmosphere is relaxed, but not too cold, and they don’t want you to linger too long. Canned music of questionable quality, often with a family atmosphere. For a fast food franchisee, a faster turnaround means faster profits.

So, fast food restaurants – are they suitable for business meetings?

1) If you run a mainstream business and plan to change some boundaries or give new insights to your staff, fast food can be used to your advantage. You can break away from the “traditional” business meeting routine and ease your employees into meetings with appropriate ice breakers.

Here are some tips to help increase productivity in business meetings.

* Choose a place far away from the rivals! You don’t want to offer them a bird’s-eye view of your plans.

* Choose the quietest period. For example. Wait until the kids are at school and the moms are at the store!

* If your team is large, notify the manager in advance. Check for vegetarian options.

* Find a place away from bad music!

* Use franchise models and environments to compare with your new concept.

* Thank the manager for using the place – especially if you want to come back.

* Enjoy the event! Carry all necessary materials (agenda, pen, paper, etc.) so that the meeting starts promptly and ends on time.

2) If you are a home business or MLM affiliate and time is of the essence, fast food restaurants are the perfect place for a quick, informal business meeting to meet your team. Choose a location that is accessible to your team and local schools to help with a quick escape. Make sure you’ve gathered all the latest products and information to start and end discussions quickly. Enjoy the event!

Business meetings are an essential part of business life, but who said they have to be boring and boring? The trick is to find different locations and turn them into enjoyable events! To achieve this, increase your skills to leave the “boring” behind. Learn new ways and strategies to take your business out of the daily league and help you gain multiple streams of income. This way, you will be dependent on only one business idea. “Are fast food restaurants good for business meetings?” I hope so.

How To Know Which Musical Instrument Is Right For You What Brass Instrument Should You Learn to Play?

You are searching about How To Know Which Musical Instrument Is Right For You, today we will share with you article about How To Know Which Musical Instrument Is Right For You was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic How To Know Which Musical Instrument Is Right For You is useful to you.

What Brass Instrument Should You Learn to Play?

Most brass instruments are made of the metals of copper and zinc and make a sound when air is blown by the player through a metal mouthpiece into a metal tube. This steel pipe is called hollow. The vibration of the player’s lips causes the vibration of the air inside the instrument, and this is what creates the unique sound of different brass instruments. There are many types of brass tools and for those who want to learn to play one of them, choosing the right one can be a daunting task.

Trumpet and corn

These are the most popular brass instruments and they are played in both bands (jazz, funk, pop, etc.) and traditional orchestras. They have three valves and one cylinder bore. Cornets are smaller but produce the same record as trumpets. For beginners, the trumpet is a good choice because it is easy to learn, easy to carry and you will be able to grow quickly. They also give you many options for music styles that you can play with them.

French horn

French horns found a place in the music of classical orchestras of the 18th century and were also part of the music produced by Mozart and Haydn. It sounds lighter and farther than a trumpet. It has a twelve-foot tube ending with a burning bell. It is often used to fill in the middle of a brass tone. In the procession you will see a French horn player playing music. French horns do not tend to be used for jazz, pop or funk.

Trombone

Tubes generally do not have a throttle valve, unlike other brass instruments used in modern orchestras. The higher and lower pitches are produced with the help of a part of its tube called a slide where the player moves in and out. The range of the trombone is slightly lower than the trumpet, however, the sound of the trombone is less permeable. Trombones are common in bands and popular in jazz bands.

Baritone and euphonium horns

These instruments fall into the middle and lower ranges of the brass family and are often used in bands. However, they are less common in orchestras. Their range is the same as that of the trombone, however, due to their cylindrical shape, they produce a sweeter and sweeter sound. Baritone horns are not too heavy or too large for placement. On the other hand, the unique feature of euphonium is that it has larger holes and, given its larger size, produces a softer sound. Effenium is a great tool for kids to learn if the child has shown interest in a larger and heavier tuba for placement.

Tuba

This one is the largest of all the brass instruments and also the lowest sound. It has a conical shape and the sound produced by it is softer and farther than other brass instruments. Although large and difficult to handle, especially for children, it is very popular as it plays the bass part of the group. For young players, the Saxon can be the right choice since it bends around the player with its bell on its left shoulder. The sousaphone is also a device used in marching groups instead of the larger tuba.

Whether you choose to learn to play the trumpet or the big tub, the choice will depend on your personal music preferences. If you are looking to get started with an easier device, a trumpet may be your choice. However, if you like the low sound of the tuba and sauna, then you can go for these brass instruments. However, the choice can be any, remember that learning any musical instrument requires the commitment and effort of the students.

Music Of The Peoples Of The World 3Rd Edition Pdf Zygor Guide – Why Downloading Via Torrents May Lead to More Than You Bargained For

You are searching about Music Of The Peoples Of The World 3Rd Edition Pdf, today we will share with you article about Music Of The Peoples Of The World 3Rd Edition Pdf was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic Music Of The Peoples Of The World 3Rd Edition Pdf is useful to you.

Zygor Guide – Why Downloading Via Torrents May Lead to More Than You Bargained For

Like most software, the World of Warcraft leveling guide and gold guide industry has fallen victim to online software piracy. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people around the world have already downloaded various guides from Zygor’s WoW Leveling Guide to Gold Secrets: Warcraft Gold Making Guide via torrents, newsgroups, and peer-to-peer networks, but what are some of these people? gain, and more importantly, what do they have to lose if they continue this type of activity?

As with all methods of illegally obtaining software, there are downsides, and some are more dangerous than others, so downloading wow guides from torrents or P2P networks can ultimately lead to the loss of your account. much, much more.

Viruses:

One of the main reasons why you don’t want to download Zygor, Dugis and other Wow leveling guides is the possibility of getting a computer virus. As in the music industry, pirates have discovered that people trying to illegally download something rarely check what they are downloading, and pirates have then started packing viruses into the files they share. A WoW player unknowingly came across a site that promised to deliver a leveling guide for free, only to find his computer destroyed as a result of the download, and find a recovery and repair fee. viruses can be harmful.

Advertising:

Similar to viruses, these programs are bundled with manuals you download via torrents or P2P networks and installed on your computer without your knowledge. From there, adware or spyware can perform a number of actions, from annoying pop-ups to completely stealing your computer system and personal information. Adware has been a serious problem in torrent groups and P2P networks, and since WoW Leveling Guides are not immune to these attacks, it can be argued that most of the people looking for “Free Guides” are children and teenagers. just to get something for free. Adware can destroy your personal credit information and lead to identity theft, which can be costly in time and money to fix.

WoW account hack:

As with viruses and adware, a person can add a program or new screen to a torrent or P2P network download guide that can capture your Warcraft account name and password and send this information to third parties. This information can then be used to delete characters, move gold, and in some cases ban your account from World of Warcraft. As you can imagine, getting your account banned or permanently deleted requires a lot of time to get back all the gear and gold you just lost.

Downloading the Zygor leveling guide via torrent or P2P networks may seem like an easy solution to buying it, but remember that not spending a little money to get a legitimate guide is more risky than beneficial. Torrents, newsgroups, and peer-to-peer networks may promise new copies of Zygor Guides or Dugis leveling guides, but be forewarned that what you’re getting may be a little more than you signed up for.
