How To Develop Your Non-Financial Resources And Acquire Untold Riches

Some may say why do I need to learn everything about developing my non-financial resources if I have money and all the material things I need and want, of course there is nothing else to learn. Well, to all intents and purposes you can be remembered as successful. This may be true to some extent, but you are missing an important message and the potential long-term success that can only be achieved if you realize that you must develop your inner self before you can truly be successful.

How many rich people have you heard of or seen on TV who are just not happy or satisfied with their lot? It’s not that they don’t have money or wealth, etc., but they have developed their financial resources before working on non-financial issues, which is partly why psychologists and rehab centers are increasing. everywhere…..

Apprentice:

Do you remember watching the show where the contestants work on various tasks to secure a lucrative job with a business tycoon. The UK version had Sir Alan Sugar as the tycoon, but this is what he mentioned, which also confirms this, it was during one of the tasks where the novice apprentices were sent to the East End market to sell goods, and before it showed Sir. Alan visited the market where he clearly practiced his trading and selling skills. He basically said that he could rebuild his fortune, even if he had to start over.

So why would he say that at first I thought he was a man of incredible wealth and great confidence in his abilities. But when you think deeply, you realize that he really could do it, because what he had developed all those years in the tough streets of the East End of London were his people skills, the life skills that are necessary. The journey that is life. Therefore, I personally do not doubt him when he says that he can accumulate his wealth from scratch.

As for Sir Richard Branson, Anita Roddick, Bill Gates, Ted Nicholas, George Soros to name just a few, do you think they would be able to re-build their wealth if they had to start over? Of course they can, they will obviously face challenges, but not more than what they had to face to reach the heights.

Story:

To show you how important developing your non-financial resources is to your success in your career or business, I’d like to share a story I came across from a great book I read called Creating a Dream in a Dream World by Dr. the price. It follows and answers why you should work on developing your life skills, your people skills, for example why a lawyer might need to attend a communication skills workshop, or why an engineer should read Shakespeare’s plays, or why an accountant should watch. DVD on Leadership Skills.

You have probably heard the story of the “Capistrano Swallows”. This is the story of these tiny birds and their migration habits. Each year, swallows fly 6,000 miles from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to San Juan Capistrano, in Southern California. Most of the journey is in the open ocean, and for a long time researchers could not figure out how they managed to make this journey. Birds could not swim and fly 6000 miles without stopping.

Later, the researchers found that the swallows carried twigs in their beaks during their travels, and so when they got tired, they would drop the twig into the water and swim until they rested. After a while they took off again until they reached their destination.

Like swallows, people are on a long journey, just like swallows are swallows, soft skills are for people, without them you will probably sink! You see, life skills allow you to move from one career to another, they are portable, for example, if a car mechanic suddenly decided to change careers, and there is a good chance that it will happen to you, it is long past time. job for life, and all the research shows that people are likely to change careers at least 10 times in their lifetime, and these are conservative estimates, these are the soft skills that will keep you moving once you have communication skills, interpersonal skills that help They make the transition easier.

Soft skills versus hard skills

I’m not saying that hard skills aren’t necessary, of course it is if you’re a car mechanic you need to know the skills specific to your hard job, and if you’re an accountant the same applies or whatever your profession is, but to climb the ladder of success and the ladder of success Among those stuck at the bottom are soft skills.

People with highly developed people skills are likely to be in positions of power and rise in their careers. Let me give you a little task, in your company where you work, try to examine your managers, directors and CEOs of the business and try to identify what makes them different from the rest of the group. Soft skills, not necessarily any particular hard skills. To be in a position of authority you need to have people skills, life skills to be able to manage your team, show vision and lead.

There is a great saying – people who know how will always work for those who know why. Not all company directors will have the specific hard skills needed to make their business successful, but I bet you know someone who knows how! Look at our leaders today, presidents, prime ministers, they all have very developed soft skills, I mean, you can’t take a course on how to be a president or how to become a prime minister. What skills you need for these roles are exactly the skills we talked about ie good organizational skills, good communication skills, good time management skills, good problem solving skills, good selling skills, good listening skills and good leadership skills…so , doesn’t it make sense to work on developing your non-financial skills?.

Tony Buzan and Raymond Keene are world experts on intelligence and the study of intelligence, you can search them, they have produced hundreds of articles on the subject of the brain and intelligence. In one of their studies, they concluded that there were 10 types of intelligence, although only 2 were tested most of the time, and so most of the tests we received were not conclusive of a person’s abilities. But they mentioned one characteristic that they considered to be the most important, and that was interpersonal intelligence, in short it is the ability to relate to other people, and in addition there was intrapersonal intelligence, they described these 2 as the most essential. In promoting the other skills and intelligence they mention (discussed in later posts).

This is truly an amazing thing and gives hope to everyone, especially those who have been rejected or abandoned by the school system. If you read most of the successful people on earth, so many of them do not have high IQs in the traditional areas that are often tested in our schools, not that this is not important, but it goes to show that high IQ or hard special skills do not necessarily determine your success at work or in business.

So how can you improve your non-financial resources, some of the answers are already stated, but overall you need to develop your self-help training. Self-help is essentially helping yourself to succeed, whether it’s having a mentor, advisor, consultant work with you, you still need to be responsible for your course design, training, where you go and what you read. Benjamin Franklin once said: “In 5 years you will be the same except for the books you read and the people you meet.” I think that sums it up. You have to learn from others, your peers and your mentors, a prudent person learns from their own experiences and a wise person learns from others.

Additionally, you will likely find, and this may prove controversial, that people with soft skills make more money than people with hard skills. To begin with, all directors, CEOs are people with soft skills. But if you do your own research, you’ll likely find that all the sales-related positions in your company have the highest salaries and bonuses. I also speak from experience when I started my working career in a software company.

There are 3 main types of jobs, all fall under one of these three headings, you can disguise them as you like, it will fit into one: Sales, Administration and Technical. These are all necessary in any business, but for some reason, sales positions when you consider OTEs, etc.. you earn a lot more.

Now that means we all have to become salespeople and women, of course not, but what I mean is we have to think more like salespeople, unfortunately salespeople get a bad title, but if you think about it, we are salespeople, we all make a living selling something. As a child you asked for your favorite toy or gift and somehow you were able to negotiate, strike a deal with your parent in which they bought you a gift, these are sales skills.

As we age, we seem to lose these soft skills that we had in abundance growing up, but unless you get some specific training, you lose them forever. Salespeople, on the other hand, get regular reprogramming of these essential skills through training tailored to their job, etc…and so it’s no wonder why some of them are the highest paid people in the business…so whatever. What you’re doing is basically learning these skills that sales people seem to have autonomy over, because those are the skills that will help you get promoted, build self-confidence, organizational skills, listening skills, etc. And best of all, it can also help you land your ultimate DREAM job.

Finally, to end this particular post, I’d like to leave you with a great quote from Ansel Adams, as follows:

“You don’t just take a photo with a camera

You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen.

The books you’ve read, the music you’ve heard, the people you’ve loved.”
