Well, this game was the first game to start these general plans. Honestly, what’s not to love about the classic story of Mario rescuing Princess Peach from Bowser’s story? Nothing, it’s a simple and charming story. I’m sure this story doesn’t deserve a higher title, because when the game came out, the story was very unfamiliar and maybe a bit awkward. But today we all know the friendly plumber hero MARIO.


This game is really fun to play. The goal of the game is to complete each level by running to the end of the level and jumping as high as possible to the flag. You will face many famous enemies like Goombas, Koopas, Piranha Plants and more. Throughout the game, there are coins scattered in random areas, which must be hidden in blocks and broken. After getting 100 coins, you will get an extra life.

You get points for how many enemies you kill, how many coins you grab, and various other reasons. Each level is unique and has different obstacles and is great to play. There are usually 8 worlds with 4 stages in the world. The game is fun because it contains many secrets throughout the game. The graphics of this game are amazing for its time. To be honest, I’m still happy with the game’s graphics today. Even though the colors of Mario and Luigi are a bit washed out and blurry, it gives off a real, warm vibe knowing that this is the first Mario game.

The background could only be the occasional green bush, or a blue sky with clouds, but that was all that was needed. This means it’s very easy to see objects in front of you, such as bricks and enemies you can hit.​There’s nothing to complain about with these graphics, especially when the game came out, they were great.


The sound is amazing. It’s not as annoying as most NES games, and it means there was a classic “do do do do do do do do…” start! The game has different music for each different type of level like dungeon, underwater level, ground level etc. If it’s enjoyable and makes the game better. The NES trackpad isn’t actually the most advanced hardware, but you’ll never feel like it’s missing anything in this game. The D-pad is used to move left and right, and by pressing it down you can duck, which when “open” causes the pipe to fall down.

The A button is used for jumping, which is very sensitive; a short press makes a low jump, a long press makes a high jump. The B button has two purposes – if you’re on fire, it throws fireballs, and it’s also a run button. This works better than you’d expect, because if you’re running and want to throw a fireball, you can quickly release the button and hold it again to fire it off without losing much speed.

This is a strong point of the game. I can’t count how many times I’ve beaten this amazing classic. It keeps you coming back for more. This is a simple game that is just fun to play. You can try to beat your previous score. You can play 2 player and play with a friend, or you can try the time trial and try for the record. Or if I like it, I can beat it again just for the great feeling of beating an endless classic. This game is the game that started it all. It makes the game more satisfying to play.

I’d say it’s the perfect challenge. It’s not so hard that you never want to try and beat it, but it’s easy enough to make it enjoyable, and it’s a great balance.
